Our Mission is to love God by loving people, leading them in becoming fully functioning followers of Christ Jesus.
Our Vision is to establish a growing body of believers in Urbandale, IA who embrace and live out the gospel of Jesus Christ, to the end of making healthy, maturing followers of Jesus Christ across generational, gender, and racial lines.
Therefore, we believe that making disciples is not just one of the ministries in the local church; it is the ministry. However, in order to effectively and biblically make disciples of Jesus, we must have a biblical definition of what a disciple is. A key verse that informs our approach is Matthew 4:19 in which Jesus says “Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men.“
In this invitation from Jesus, we see the clear definition of a disciple that includes three parts: “a maturing disciple is someone who is following Jesus, being transformed by Jesus, and joining Jesus in His mission”.
Our Pathway model represents this definition that is also our roadmap for experiencing real-life transformation in Christ.

FOLLOW JESUS
We are not following a program; we’re following a Person – Jesus Christ! Therefore, every disciple must be willing to surrender any and all things for the sake of following Jesus. Jesus is Lord and Master which means He calls all the shots our lives.
BE TRANSFORMED
Jesus is the standard and the substance of our maturity. Therefore, every disciple must pursue spiritual maturity that leads to real-life transformation in Christ. Our aim is to transformed into the likeness of Christ and possess a growing maturity in Christ.
JOIN HIS MISSION
Making disciples is not an option to consider; it’s a command to be obeyed. Therefore, every disciple is designed by God, commissioned by Jesus, and empowered by the Spirit to be a disciple-maker. Every disciple is a disciple-maker sent on mission with Jesus wherever they live, work, play, and do business.
Disciple-making is the mandate from the master.
In order to begin a healthy process of disciple-making, we must first see what the Bible says about the importance of following Jesus, being transformed by Jesus, and joining Jesus in His mission.
- What is the Biblical mandate for making disciples?
- What does it look like to follow Jesus?
- What does it look like to be transformed by Jesus?
- What does it mean to join Jesus in His mission?
- What are the essential components for a disciple-making lifestyle?
- How do I pass this disciple-making “DNA” on to others?
All of these questions are answered in our 6-week sermon series called “The Supremacy of Disciple-Making” that was taught in July of 2019 by Pastor Brett and Pastor Mike.
